I'm making a pretty big change to CoreByte.
Going forward, CoreByte will be moving away from the multi-server network setup and becoming one dedicated Survival SMP server.
This means the Proxy, Lobby, and Creative servers will be retired, and our focus will be completely on making Survival the best experience possible.
Why the change?
CoreByte doesn’t really need a full network anymore, and maintaining several separate servers for a smaller player base doesn’t make much sense. Instead, we’d rather put all of our time, resources, updates, and development into one polished SMP that people can simply join and play.
The Survival server itself isn’t going away. Your world and server data are being backed up and transferred safely.
Our goal is to keep everything people enjoy about CoreByte Survival while making the overall setup simpler, easier to maintain, and more focused.
What this means:
- CoreByte Survival stays
- Existing Survival progress will be preserved
- Development and updates will continue
- Lobby will be retired
- Creative will be retired
- The Velocity network setup will be retired
CoreByte is simply becoming what it should be right now:
A dedicated Survival SMP
Thanks to everyone who has played, supported, or followed CoreByte through all of its changes.
More information will be posted once the migration is complete.
ETA? Or when will CoreByte be back online?
There is currently no ETA for when CoreByte will be back online. The migration may take a few days while I reorganise the server and make sure everything is set up properly.
Kind Regards,
